Indonesia’s anti-corruption chief was detained by police on Monday on suspicion he orchestrated the murder of a businessman who was allegedly involved intimately with a woman to whom the official was attracted.
Antasari Azhar, chairman of the corruption eradication commission (KPK), was the ninth official suspect in the March assassination of Nasrudin Zulkarnaen, a director of Putra Rajawali Banjaran, a state-owned pharmaceutical company, said Inspector-General Wahyono, Jakarta’s police chief.
