“Second time lucky” may transpire to be the unofficial motto of the £40m Manufacturing Technology Centre that regional development agencies plan to build at Ansty near Coventry.

In 2001 the site was earmarked for a £120m high-tech campus for Marconi, the telecommunications company, which not long after suffered a financial collapse. The development project was accordingly shelved.
