For six days after cyclone Nargis destroyed his home town, Win Min, a Burmese academic living in Thailand, worried about his family.

After fruitless efforts to contact them by telephone, he finally reached a family friend who found his relatives sitting in the rain. Their home in Bogolay had been destroyed, but otherwise they were unscathed.
