Building Chinese brands beyond China

Beyond the bottle of Tsingtao Brewery that appears on tables in Chinese restaurants from New York to London to Sydney, few Chinese brands have traveled much beyond China to date.

And even Tsingtao is less a brand outside China, with the name less associated with key attributes or an emotional connection in the mind of the consumer than simply a Chinese name that appears on the bottle.
