Pace of rouble depreciation quickens

Russia on Wednesday allowed the rouble to depreciate by the biggest amount to date against a euro-dollar basket as it took advantage of a weaker dollar.

The rouble dropped 1.2 per cent against the basket, falling to 32.64, as the central bank allowed the seventh incremental weakening of the rouble in less than two months and the second this week.
