A serious political row has broken out after counter-terrorism police arrested Damian Green, shadow immigration minister, in connection with leaking of sensitive government documents to national newspapers.

David Cameron on Friday criticised the ”heavy handed” nature of the operation, saying questions needed to be answered by the police and government. ”I think these are extraordinary and frankly rather worrying circumstances,” the Conservative leader stated, having called the actions of the police “Stalinesque” the night before.
