Law firm backs call to end nepotism

A leading City law firm has joined calls to end nepotism and networking in top jobs in the professions as it launches a scheme to give teenagers a taste of an industry long perceived as a bastion of exclusivity.

David Morley, senior partner of Allen & Overy, backed the warning issued by a former cabinet minister over the way sectors such as the senior civil service, law and journalism had become more socially exclusive in the past few years.
