Ceram Business School, located on the French Riviera, looks set to be the first of France’s Grand Ecole business schools to teach all its programmes in English, rather than French. The only exception to the English rule will be on Ceram’s Chinese campus in Suzhou, where programmes will continue to be taught in both English and Mandarin.
Rather than deter French applicants for the undergraduate and masters degrees, the move has resulted in a 30 per cent increase in applications, according to Alice Guilhon, director of Ceram. She says the move is particularly important for a school such as Ceram which is located on the Sophia Antipolis science and technology park, and which prides itself on its links with global technology and information companies.
