Pressure on dollar as job growth spurs stocks

Wall Street was on track on Friday night for its best weekly performance for 19 months as strong US job growth added to already-bullish sentiment after the decisive re-election of George W. Bush as president.

But while US stock markets moved higher, the dollar remained under heavy pressure, falling to a record low against the euro.
