Business backs Bush trade talk drive

US business leaders on Thursday threw their weight behind the Bush administration’s last-ditch drive to revive its trade agenda before the president’s fast-track trade promotion authority expires later this year.

Terry McGraw, the chairman of the Business Roundtable, told FT.com’s View from the Top that business leaders would support a compromise on the thorny issues dividing the administration and the Democratic leadership in Congress.
