Britvic starts to lose its fizz

Britvic, the soft drinks group that holds rights to Pepsi in the UK and owns the Robinsons and Tango brands, expects to meet its full-year financial targets despite weak fizzy drink sales in the most recent quarter.

Britvic's fizzy drink sales, which grew 0.4 per cent, lagged behind overall market growth of 2.5 per cent in the three months to the end of December because it does not own any brands in the so-called "functional" drinks category, the company said.
