The five-man crew of Oman Sail were convincing winners by a 15-point margin over iShares in the first of two three-day regattas for Extreme 40 catamarans in the Middle East which may herald a regular racing circuit for them in the region.  The Arabian Extreme 40 Challenge’s first regatta at Mina Seyahi, Dubai, ended on Saturday with Oman Air placed third and TeamAqua fourth.

Organised by OC Events, the competition’s second regatta is off Port Sultan al Qaboos and the Al Bustan Palace in Muscat, Oman, from Tuesday until Thursday this week.
