Aer Lingus slips into red

Aer Lingus slipped into the red in the first half as fuel costs more than wiped out the effects of cost savings and better passenger revenues.

The former Irish state-owned airline, in which rival Ryanair has just under 30 per cent, increased total revenues 10 per cent in the six months to June 30 from €574m to €633m.
