Kenya’s 43-strong cabinet was sworn in on Thursday with a warning from Kofi Annan, who brokered the country’s power-sharing deal, that its formation marked the beginning, not the end, of hard work for its members.
The coalition cabinet was agreed after six weeks of haggling between bitter rivals Mwai Kibaki, the president, who was accused of rigging December’s election, and Raila Odinga, the opposition leader and new prime minister.
