Shop payment by phone unpopular

Using your mobile phone to pay for shopping is still a long way off, according to mobile phone operator O 2 .

The results of a 500-person trial showed that while using phones to pay for travel was seen as more convenient than Oyster cards (the London public transport payment scheme), only 41 per cent of trialists preferred using their phones to pay for small purchases.
