Hariri forms unity government

Lebanon’s pro-western prime minister, Saad al-Hariri, unveiled a new unity government on Monday, including two ministers from the pro-Syrian and pro-Iranian Hizbollah movement, in a 30-member cabinet.

Mr Hariri’s western-backed bloc won parliamentary elections in June but has been locked in intense and at times rancorous negotiations over the shape of a new government since then.
