More than two years after Airbus began to disclose the scale of the problems it was facing in bringing its A380 superjumbo into series production, the European aircraft maker is still struggling to overcome delays.

The first A380s have long since been delivered into successful service with Singapore Airlines flying to Sydney, London and Tokyo. Commercial operations began last October.
