Henderson warns of tough year ahead

Roger Yates, chief executive of Henderson, the fund management group, underscored his gloomy outlook for markets on Thursday and announced he is stepping down as chief executive after nine years.

“I will be back. But no CEO should be in the job for more than 10 years. I shall climb a couple of mountains and see in 12 months,” said Mr Yates who said markets would not begin to improve until the middle of next year.
