Boom states face plain truths

If there is any silver lining for consumers and manufacturers in the economic collapse, it has been the sharp fall in oil prices, that has taken some of the bite off of an otherwise dismal financial outlook.

But the sudden drop in fuel costs has had almost the opposite effect on what was the last bastion of housing strength in the US: the Great Plains.
