Yahoo developments open up AOL options

Three months ago, when Microsoft launched its bid for Yahoo, Time Warner was seen as the odd man out.

If a deal had gone through, the media conglomerate’s troubled AOL division would have found itself battling against an even brawnier online competitor. At the same time, two potential AOL suitors would have been moving on.
