UN team links Rwanda to Congo rebels

United Nations investigators have uncovered a trail of evidence allegedly linking members of the Rwandan and Congolese administrations to rebels responsible for atrocities in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo.

A report by the UN panel of experts investigating illegal arms trafficking to Congo, points to a web of business and state interests fuelling fresh conflict two years after UN sponsored elections were supposed to draw a line under Congo’s protracted wars.
