Google widens browser campaign

Google has opened another front in its battle with Microsoft by encouraging visitors to its YouTube website who come via Microsoft’s Internet Explorer 6 to upgrade to another browser.

Almost half of all internet users regularly visit YouTube, the video-sharing website, according to Nielsen, the research firm.
