Kremlin calm on foreign capital turmoil

Russia’s economy is strong enough to ride out the financial turmoil caused by foreign capital fleeing the country and is still forecast to grow by 8 per cent this year, says a senior Kremlin aide.

Arkady Dvorkovich, the president’s economic assistant, said it was understandable that foreign investors had withdrawn money following the recent conflict in the Caucasus but predicted it would soon return.
