Dick Olver, chairman of BAE Systems, admitted on Wednesday that the defence contractor needed “to deal with the past” if it was ever going to put allegations of corruption behind it.
Mr Olver confirmed he was seeking a fresh review by the new head of the Serious Fraud Office of its abandoned probe into the £43bn ($84bn) al-Yamamah arms deal with Saudi Arabia to prove that “there is no case to answer”.
