Brown will determine manner of Blair’s exit

So next summer it is. That, anyway, is Tony Blair’s intention. The date of the prime minister’s departure has now been all but emblazoned above 10 Downing Street. Ten years will be enough. If we are to believe The Sun newspaper, the announcement will come on May 31. That sounds too precise. Mr Blair might yet prefer April – before elections for the Scottish parliament and Welsh assembly.
