US urges more Nato - EU co-operation

Washington yesterday called for wider co-operation between the European Union and Nato, in a sign tensions are easing between the US and Europe.

Robert Bradtke, a senior US State Department official for European affairs, said the EU and Nato should work together in areas such as counter-terrorism, Kosovo and possibly in Sudan.
