Chan Wheeler, the American former senior executive with the US healthcare group UnitedHealth, has not had the easiest of introductions since he became commercial director for the Department of Health in June.
He has faced questions both about donations to Republican party candidates made before he took his job in the UK and about millions of dollars worth of backdated share options he received when at UnitedHealth.
