After years of being regarded as a poor, younger cousin to the US and Europe, could private equity in Asia be about to come of age?
The mood was certainly bullish at the Asian Venture Capital Journal annual conference in Hong Kong earlier this month. The gathering was spiced up by the presence of several of the industry’s biggest names, including David Rubenstein of Carlyle Group and James Coulter of TPG.
