Investors demand input over US executives' pay

International and US investors have launched a co-ordinated attack against US boardroom excesses, urging regulators and companies to curb outsized executive pay and give shareholders the right to vote on compensation.

The unprecedented campaign brings together large global fund managers such as Hermes of the UK and ABP, Europe's biggest pension fund, with US union and state pension funds in an effort to increase investor supervision of chief executives and boards.
