More insults than input in web feedback

Fewer than 250 people have responded to an online consultation on Gordon Brown’s flagship government relaunch, according to official figures.

The glossy 126-page prospectus on “Building Britain’s Future” was promoted by government insiders as a new national plan in advance of its June launch. Despite critics dismissing it as “more rehash than relaunch”, the document remains a central plank of the government’s marketing of its work on the economic recovery.
