Serbian president dissolves parliament

Boris Tadic, Serbia’s president, on Thursday dissolved parliament and called elections for May 11 to try to overcome divisions about relations with the European Union after the secession of Kosovo.

”Elections are the democratic way for the citizens to determine how Serbia should develop in the years to come,” Mr Tadic said.
