Meetings between ministers and lobbyists will be exposed to greater transparency following a landmark ruling in a three-year freedom of information battle.

The judgment is a victory for Friends of the Earth, the environmental group, which fought to see records of meetings between the CBI employers’ group and the old Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).
