Halliburton angers Nigerian MPs in 'bribes' hearing

Nigerian MPs yesterday attacked Halliburton and its partners in a multinational oil services joint venture over their alleged failure to co-operate with a parliamentary hearing into a high-profile $170m alleged bribery case.

Chudi Offodile, chairman of the House of Representatives public petitions committee, said the companies' behaviour before the committee could be interpreted as an admission of guilt.
