Etisalat takes 45% stake in India’s Swan Telecom

Emirates Telecommunications Corporation continued its Asian expansion by taking a stake in India’s Swan Telecom on Tuesday.

The UAE-based group, known as Etisalat, paid about $900m for a 45 per cent stake. Its Asia operations already include Pakistan, Afghanistan and Indonesia.
