Kenya displeased over US reform pressure

Kenya’s relations with the US continued to sour at the weekend as the country’s president wrote to Barack Obama expressing “displeasure” at US moves to punish Kenya’s lack of action on reform.

Washington vowed last week to ban several senior Kenyan politicians and bureaucrats from travelling to the US and sent letters to 15 of them warning that their future relationship with the US would depend on their attitude to reform.
