Low turnout expected for HK pro-democracy rally

Pro-democracy activists in Hong Kong are expecting a low turnout for the annual reunification day rally on Friday following the replacement of the territory's unpopular chief executive.

Since half a million people took to the streets to protest against a controversial security bill on July 1, 2003, the day has become a key rallying opportunity for the territory's pro-democracy camp.
