Russia and Georgia agree ceasefire

Russian forces have started to pull out of Georgia, the country’s frontline commander in Gori said on Sunday, a day after Russian president Dmitry Medvedev signed a new cease fire agreement. 

Major-General Vyachislav Borisov on Sunday told Reuters news agency: ”The columns are moving from Tskhinvali to Russia ... (Russian President Dmitry) Medvedev has said we are to withdraw.”
