Tories plan to drive TV growth with deregulation

The shadow culture secretary says he wants to make conditions ripe for commercial growth in TV, not by spending taxpayers' money, but deregulating.

In an interview with the Financial Times, Jeremy Hunt says he believes that current rules that force ITV to sell all available airtime are "complete madness" - a sentiment likely to delight the broadcaster.
