Blair could have refused support and preserved UK's integrity

From Mr Ronald Harrison.

Sir, The letter from Michael J. Williams (December 21), which attempts to defend Tony Blair's relationship with George W. Bush, fails to connect with reality. The catastrophic destruction of Iraq following the US and British invasion was foreseen by the one million who demonstrated in London against it beforehand. President Bush probably could not have been stopped, but British honour and integrity might have been preserved had Mr Blair refused our support for the invasion. Harold Wilson and Denis Healey at least had the sense to keep us out of the Vietnam fiasco.
