As international pressure mounts on the UAE to improve the rights of migrant workers, Dubai has focused on regulating labour camps and other accommodation for labourers.

The Dubai Municipality has increased inspections, introduced higher fines and has given warnings to hundreds of labour camps concerning health and safety violations.
