Telefónica, Spain’s largest telecom operator, on Thursday voiced concerns about the prospect of Telecom Italia bringing in a new shareholder through a capital increase.

Telefónica, the Italian telecoms group’s largest shareholder, also signalled its opposition to the possibility of Telecom Italia cutting its dividend.
