Rising price of beer cans a worry for SABMiller

SABMiller on Thursday warned of higher costs for beer cans and continued difficulties in the US market as it reported a 4 per cent decline in annual pre-tax profits to $2.4bn.

Pre-tax profits were lower because of exceptional gains associated with the sale of investments in Edgars Consolidated Stores and the Harbin Brewery Group in the previous financial year.
