Norton to pay NHS £13m over price-fix claims

A third drug company has agreed to a multi-million pound settlement with the National Health Service over allegations of price-fixing in the supply of certain generic medicines.

Norton Healthcare, to-gether with Norton Pharmaceuticals, said that it had agreed to pay £13.5m and provide "co-operation in connection with the continuing claims regarding the alleged price-fixing arrangements", although there is no admission of liability on the company's part.
