China: Market entry needs technology transfer

The new rail line between the western city of Golmud and the Tibetan capital of Lhasa, which the Chinese government opened last year, is the highest track in the world.

The 1,140km-long line, which includes a stretch of permafrost of more than 150km, is 5,450 metres above sea-level at its highest point.
