Barack Obama flies into Moscow just as Russia’s most controversial court case involving Mikhail Khodorkovsky, the jailed oil tycoon, is in full flow.

Mr Khodorkovsky will face hearings from behind a glass cage on a second set of charges while the US president visits the Russian capital this week.
