Activists call for Ciba’s chairman to be replaced

Activist shareholders in Ciba are pressing for the replacement of Armin Meyer as chairman, amid intensifying financial pressures on the ailing Swiss speciality chemicals group.

Golden Peaks Capital, a Swiss activist that has implemented management change at struggling retailer Valora, has entered talks with Mr Meyer on his future.
