UK banks will have to reveal high earners

Banks operating in the UK will be forced to disclose the numbers of their highest earning staff in different pay bands, if necessary using legislation to be introduced this autumn, Alistair Darling has revealed.

“There needs to be far more openness and the banks need to indicate how many people are being paid at certain levels,” the chancellor told Labour activists in Brighton.
