Kremlin denies role in ex-spy 'poison attack'

The Kremlin on Monday dismissed as "sheer nonsense" allegations that the Russian government was involved in the alleged poisoning in London of Alexander Litvinenko, a former Russian spy.

"It is nothing but sheer nonsense,'' said Dmitry Peskov, a senior Kremlin spokesman, adding that he would not comment on the alleged poisoning itself.
