‘Eaten alive by investment bankers’

A withering critique of both the City watchdog and some of Britain’s building societies is contained in information sent by an FSA whistleblower to Vince Cable, the Liberal Democrat Treasury spokesman.

The former FSA employee, who had previously worked in banking, said some building societies had embarked on a foolish voyage into products that were not always fully understood.
