Bargain-hungry tourists boost Burberry

Chinese and European bargain hunters in London have helped drive growth at Burberry as new stores compensate for declines in licensing deals and in wholesale revenues, the fashion group said on Tuesday.

Shares in Burberry jumped on the news, rising 10.4 per cent or 34½p to 366p in afternoon London trading.
